Fully two minutes long, it’s a Honda commercial call “Cog,” the most elaborate Rube Goldberg device you’ve ever seen set to film, all made entirely of car parts. According to the news stories linked above, it required 606 film takes to get right. It’s so perfectly filmed, you can’t imagine it, you’ve just got to see it.

I’m in the process of adding another surround sound system in the Fabrication area of my lab. I found a perfectly good DVD player a couple of weeks ago in the trash and I intend on using it. I’d like to hook it up next to the Battle-Bot Arena so that I can have music playing as students are competing!

I installed a news ticker that is getting a live feed from my blog. THe software is installed on the computer that handles the billboard. It will now have all the current happenings in Tech Ed. It scrolls at the bottom of the screen of the PowerPoint Presentation.

After waking up at 5 AM in the morning, and going out into the cold dark morning, I found everything I wanted to buy. It was a madhouse this morning and it seemed the majority of people had little or no patience for each other. I was lucky to gram what I needed and leave with little or no waiting in line.

My family has a very long history of eating a very big meal for Thanksgiving, watching football, and going to bed early. Usually we go to bed early not because of the food or the usually boring football games that end up being blowouts, but to get an early start on some shopping.
This year, analysts have predicted a slower shopping season. Because of this prediction, many stores are selling extremely cheap goods at rock bottom prices. I’m planning to get a couple of cool gadgets, like a GPS system, and a new Bluetooth earpiece for my cell phone. For those of you going, good luck… for those of you who are not, sleep in… and have a safe Thanksgiving Break everybody!

I finally finished installing my surround sound speakers in my computer lab area. The past two days, I’ve been running speaker wires up and down the drop ceiling. The moment I turned the stereo on, the speakers just filled the room with music!

We had about 35 kids show up for chess club today. There were lots of changes in rankings and they have been posted. It’s a good thing that the front office got me more chess boards to accommodate the increase in students!
