I have one more class after a long 2 year program for my masters. All I have left is to finish my Thesis and I will officially have a Masters in Technology Education. Of course it doesn’t end there.
After finishing this program I will be starting my Administration and Curriculum Doctoral Program. It’s a long grueling 3 year program that will take up much of my free evenings. But before then I’ll enjoy my *lighter* work load…

NEW YORK - Would you trust a robot to park your car? The question will confront New Yorkers in February as the city’s first robotic parking opens in Chinatown.
The technology has had a good track record overseas, but the only other public robotic garage in the United States has been troublesome, dropping vehicles and trapping cars because of technical glitches.
Nonetheless, the developers of the Chinatown garage are confident with the technology and are counting on it to squeeze 67 cars in an apartment-building basement that would otherwise fit only 24, accomplished by removing a ramp and maneuver space normally required.

I just currently finished watching the movie Gridiron Gang. This is a true story about a correctional institution that started a football program. Most of these players are felons and some are from rival gangs. The story revolves around Dwayne “The Rock” and his passion for his job to give these boys another chance at life.
It’s very heartwarming and sometimes a little corny, but it does send a strong message how when everyone steps onto the field, it doesn’t matter what your past is, as long as you are all on the same team.

My wife and I are off to check out cars at the annual DC car show. Since my car is 12 years old and counting, I plan on buying a new car this year. There are a couple of cars I’m looking into:

My plan is to reorganize the lab area so that space is maximized for students to use. Right now there is too much space being wasted by the rocket car track. My goal for this week is to switch the track to the other side and make the whole feel of the room seem “bigger”.

So my record should be 6-5 but there has been fluke plays that have allowed the other team to beat me with seconds left on the clock. There has been 4 games that have disconnected me while I was winning, which meant a loss. I think I will start a new account and start from scratch…

My goal is to constantly change lessons and change units from quarter to quarter. This allows me to not only teach but to also learn more and more.
My next goal is to find a way to suspend the Rocket Car track so that it doesn’t get in the way of the tables. As of now the rocket cars take up about 10% of the lab area and divides the room into smaller sections.

I have been pleasantly surprised by the level of projects that have been built this quarter. It seemed like the bar has to be raised higher so that not everyone in the class gets an A. From Sumos to Mousetrap Carts to Rocket Cars, It seems like every group has gone above and beyond the work!
